1. “Profound”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I saw a little kid eating ice cream in the elevator. Out of concern, I casually said, “It’s such a cold day; you’ll get sick eating that!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The kid replied, “My grandma lived to be 103.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I asked, “From eating ice cream?”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said, “No, because she never meddled in other people’s business!”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How profound! I finally understand why I’m aging so fast\u2014too much unnecessary meddling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. “Exhausted”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scammers are everywhere these days. I just read the news about people’s savings mysteriously disappearing\u2014tens of thousands of dollars gone without a trace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Panicking, I rushed to theq bank on my bike, inserted my card, entered my password, and checked my balance. Thankfully, my $8 was still there. I breathed a sigh of relief.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Whew, that was nerve-wracking! I swear I\u2019m never watching the news again\u2014too stressful!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I left the bank, I was even more exhausted: my $8 was safe, but my bike was gone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3. “Don’t Rush”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One morning, an elderly lady was strolling in the park when she saw an old man writing big characters on the ground with a sponge brush. She couldn\u2019t help but stop and watch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The old man glanced at her and wrote the character \u201c\u6eda\u201d (meaning “get lost”). The lady thought: \u201cIs it really necessary to be so rude just for looking?\u201d The old man glanced at her again and wrote another \u201c\u6eda.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The lady couldn\u2019t hold back any longer and kicked the old man to the ground.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When the police arrived, the old man said helplessly, \u201cI just wanted to write the phrase \u2018\u6eda\u6eda\u957f\u6c5f\u4e1c\u901d\u6c34\u2019 (The Yangtze River flows endlessly eastward). I had only written the first two characters when this lunatic knocked me down.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So, friends, don\u2019t rush into things!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

4. “Hold Back”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A young lady boarded a train and saw a man sitting in her seat. She politely checked her ticket and said, \u201cSir, I think you\u2019re in my seat.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The man pulled out his ticket and shouted, \u201cLook closely! This is my seat! Are you blind?!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The girl carefully checked his ticket and stopped arguing. She quietly stood beside him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the train started moving, the girl leaned over and softly said, \u201cSir, you\u2019re not in the wrong seat, but you\u2019re on the wrong train. This is heading to Shanghai, and your ticket is for Harbin.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
