BREAKING NEWS\u26a1<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n India on Thursday night repelled 300 to 400 drones launched by Pakistan across the entire western front to target military and civilian establishments and then undertook a swift counter-strike against four air defence sites, even as deadly artillery duels led to soldiers being killed on both sides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Pakistani attack resumed on Friday night, with drones once again being spotted in 26 locations in a wide arc, ranging from Srinagar, Baramulla and Awantipora in the north to Bhuj in the south, along both the international border and the Line of Control with Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Full closure of petrol stations in Islamabad announced after India reportedly targetted at least four airbases in Pakistan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Finance minister <\/strong>Nirmala Sitharaman<\/strong><\/a> on Friday asked all banks to remain fully alert and prepared to deal with any eventuality or crisis. She emphasised the need to ensure uninterrupted access to banking and financial services for citizens across the country and border areas against the backdrop of ongoing tensions.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The Border Security Force (BSF) on Friday said it had foiled an infiltration bid from across the India-Pakistan International Border in a midnight operation in the Samba sector of Jammu, neutralising seven infiltrators and destroying a forward post of Pakistan Rangers.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Amid the escalating conflict between India and Pakistan, reports suggest that at least 4 key airbases of the latter country were hit on Sat.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n On early Saturday, Pakistan said that Indian missiles attacked three of its key airbases. In the early hours of May 10, 2025, Pakistan military spokesperson Lt Gen Ahmad Sharif Chaudhry addressed a press conference in Islamabad, claiming that Pak Air Force bases Nur Khan in Rawalpindi, Murid in Chakwal and Rafiqui in Jhang district became targets of India\u2019s retaliatory measures. No other evidence or details were provided at the time to support these claims.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The comments by White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt came as military action between India and Pakistan intensified following India’s strike on nine terror sites in Pakistan<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The call by the powerful grouping came amid the continuing escalation of the military confrontation between the two nuclear-armed neighbours.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n US President Donald Trump wants to see the conflict between India and Pakistan de-escalate “as quickly as possible”, the White House said on Friday.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The civil aviation ministry on Friday extended the closure of 28 airports across the country until the morning of May 15, from the earlier May 10. The airports include Srinagar, Jammu, Amritsar, Leh, Chandigarh, Dharamshala, Bikaner, Rajkot, Jodhpur, and Kishangarh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n India slammed Pakistan for not closing its airspace despite launching drone and missile attacks against India, in reckless acts endangering commercial aircraft carrying thousands of passengers. \u201cPakistan is using civil airliners as a shield, knowing full well that its attack on India would elicit a swift air defence response. This is not safe for the unsuspecting airliners, including international flights,\u201d said Wing Commander Vyomika Singh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The defence ministry has empowered the Army chief to activate 14 of the 32 infantry battalions of the Territorial Army (TA) for deployment across the country till Feb 2028.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n It was a loss of face for Pakistan after India avenged Pahalgam terror attack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The surgical precision with which India destroyed terror camps in Pakistan and its occupied territories in Kashmir not only asserted the country\u2019s status as one of the most forceful nations in counter-terror operations, but also exposed the vulnerabilities in Pakistan\u2019s defence network.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On May 9, 2025, Pakistan opened unprovoked fire on BSF posts in the Jammu Sector around 9:00 PM. The BSF retaliated and, according to an official statement, destroyed a terrorist launch pad at Looni in Pakistan\u2019s Sialkot District, opposite the Akhnoor area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n India has accused Pakistan of using Turkish-made drones, specifically Asisguard Songar models, for large-scale aerial surveillance and attempted attacks on military installations across its western border.
